Forms Of Sleep Apnea

Stop snoring is caused by pauses in breathing while a person sleeps. These pauses cause the person to awaken repeatedly throughout the night, which makes them exhausted during the daytime and difficult to stay awake during day time hours. Most sleep apnea patients are approved a C-PAP mask to wear when they sleep. Typically the mask pumps pressurized air into the person’s airwaves, which are opened upwards by the machine. The pulmonologist will test for sleep apnea with polysomnogram, or a sleep examine. This test is done during an overnight sleeping period. If the patient suffers from five or more shows of skipped breathes each hour than their case is considered to be clinical. Three forms of sleep apnea; central, obstructive and complex.
